Practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge. Practical work includes experiments in laboratories, study tours, projects, assignments etc. the advantages of practical work are unmatched. Getting theoretical knowledge has no value until students can apply it for practical purposes.

Technological / Managerial Labs

  1. Computer Lab : The computer centre is well equipped with all latest software and technologies. Presently the Department has 04 labs, all centrally air-conditioned with the capacity of 200 students. The campus is well equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity. There are 150 systems (intel i7/i5/i3, core 2 duo/dual core configuration ), 2- Apple Computer, 50 printers, LCD projectors, HP Scanner, digital camera, router connected to the network through 5 server.

Pharmacy Labs

  1. Pharmaceutics: In pharmaceutics lab student discovers, develops, produces, and markets drugs or pharmaceutical drugs for use as medications to be administered (or self-administered) to patients to cure them, vaccinate them, or alleviate a symptom.Pharmaceutical companies may deal in generic or brand medications and medical devices. They are subject to a variety of laws and regulations that govern the patenting, testing, safety, efficacy and marketing of drugs.

  2. Pharmaceutical chemistry: Pharmaceutical chemistry is the study of drugs, and it involves drug development. This includes drug discovery, delivery, absorption, metabolism, and more. There are elements of biomedical analysis, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics. Pharmaceutical chemistry work is usually done in a lab setting.

  3. Pharmacology: Pharmacology lab is the important branch of biology concerned with the study of drug action, where a drug can be broadly defined as any man-made, natural, or endogenous (from within the body) molecule which exerts a biochemical or physiological effect on the cell, tissue, organ, or organism (sometimes the word pharmacon is used as a term to encompass these endogenous and exogenous bioactive species). More specifically, it is the study of the interactions that occur between a living organism and chemicals that affect normal or abnormal biochemical function.

  4. Pharmacy Practises: Innovations in Pharmacy Practice Lab Prepare Students for Real-life Experiences. … The system allows any student in the lab to input and verify prescriptions in real-time under the supervision of a teaching-assistant or instructor.

  5. Pharmacognosy: This lab is involved in providing the basic skills to the UG students, required to identify the crude drugs and adulterants with the help of advanced instruments. This lab imparts the training to PG students for development of their research skills.

Labs(Resource Centres) for D.El.Ed

  1. Psycho Lab: The psychology laboratories are purpose built rooms that allow psychology students to collect data from human participants using the same resources as professional psychologists.

  2. Computer Lab: Students, faculty and staff have access to the computer labs, which provide the tools and technologies to  produce websites, edit papers, complete class assignments, communicate via email, conduct data analyses and access library resources.

  3. Art Craft: Art Craft Lab is a place for experiments with creativity. The aim of this lab is to encourage the students to bring forth their innovative power.

The lab will enable students to get acquainted with knowledge, uses, working and operation of various technology & aids apart from preparing transparencies, PowerPoint presentations, charts, models in their teaching subjects. Teachers can also make use of various aids for the teaching purpose & giving demonstration lessons to make the learning of various topics interesting and effective.

  6. Science: The College has its own well equipped and furnished Physics, Chemistry laboratory for providing the students ample opportunities to conduct experiments with scientific knowledge & principles. The laboratory is equipped with most advanced instruments and lab tools such as Plain Mirror, Thermometer, Ammeter. Electro Magnet, Bar Magnet 3D, Convex Mirror, Resistance Box, Rheostat, Stop Watch, , Test tubes, spectrometer, electric balance, and chemical balance, etc.. Thus, students shall get practice of using various equipments and accessories effectively before they go for teaching practice.

  7. Maths: The main aim of teaching mathematics is to develop power of abstract thinking and reasoning. It helps in developing the habit of verification in the students. They accept mathematical truths only after confirming their validity practically. To enable harvest these aspects, the lab contains number kit, place value pockets, magic lantern, film strip projector, epidope, pictures, geometrical instruments, calculating machine etc.
